The Roomba Collection’s Most Basic In 2021.

This article will only be about the 694, however the Roomba 692 is identical to the Roomba 694.

The 694 might find it a little offensive to call this the “most basic Roomba”. Rewinding a couple of years back, we can see that this is the robot vacuum with the highest quality.

The Roomba 694 is a great vacuum if you do not have long-haired family members or pets. However, if your pets have long hair and you don’t want hair to get stuck in the vacuum brushes, then I recommend the Roomba 654.

It does all the other things a robot vacuum should do.

It’s equipped with dirt-detect and drop sensors. The robot is instructed by the dirt detector sensor to clean more difficult areas. The drop sensor keeps the Roomba from careening off any ledges or stairs in your home. This means extra clean floors and no broken Roombas.

The app and WiFi are connected. Using the iRobot app, you can customize your cleaning preferences and set a schedule for it to clean while you are away from home.

It follows a “random style” of navigation. It uses a “random” cleaning algorithm to cover all floors. This means that after the robot leaves its dock, it starts vacuuming in one direction, moving until it comes into contact with an obstacle. Then it turns itself away a random number of degrees, and moves in that new direction. Continue this cycle until your home is completely clean. This “drunken sailors” method to vacuuming results in a pretty thorough cleaning of your living room.

What is the Roomba E5 different from The 694? Brushless Rollers (Matters Much More Than You Think)

These brush-less rolling brushes are without doubt the greatest invention in vacuuming. This design is my favorite. I don’t recommend using vacuums that have traditional rolling brush designs. While they’re called “tangle-free” debris extractors by the manufacturer, it doesn’t necessarily mean that bristle or other bristle tools are not available.

Instead you receive two rubber rolling wheels with protruding “feet” that bounce and vibrate on the floor while the Roomba goes about its business. Vibrations vibrate the ground and push dirt into the suction path.

The rubber rollers provide a cleaner floor than the Roomba694 bristles, but are much more manageable. It can be tedious to remove hair with a standard vacuum brush roller.

With rubber rollers, hair rarely gets stuck in the Roomba e5. Even when they do, pulling out the hair is a trivial task. You can pull the hair out of the sticky place by simply removing the rubber rollers.

My wife is blessed with shoulder-length hair. The hair ends up on our vacuum brushes. If I don’t clean the hair out every so often, it would make this terrible burning smell-a combination of burnt hair and dust.

I hated the idea of vacuuming hair so bad that I avoided using it unless my carpets were getting too dirty or we had guests.

The Roombas brushless Roombas means that all hair from the floor ends up in the dustbin. A clean home and a full dustbin are what we find when we return from our vacation. Each Roomba vacuum is a joy to use. I always look forward seeing the results. The bin is always full of hair and dirt.

How Is The Roomba I3+ Better Than The E5? Smart Navigation, Recharge and resume, Auto-Emptying Bin

The Roomba i3+’s smart navigation uses floor tracking sensors to map out your space and vacuum it logically. This is a huge step up from the “bump-and-turn” style navigation found in lower tier Roombas. Smart navigation provides a more efficient way for you to map your entire property.

Pro: Charge and Resume Recharge is one of my favorites features in the current Roomba range. If the Roomba i3+ senses its battery is low, the Roomba will recall where it’s vacuumed before it returns to the dock and charge itself. If it’s running low on juice, the Roomba will go back to the area where it was last and vacuum your entire house until you are satisfied. This makes it easy to charge your battery, particularly if the robot is being used while you are away.

Pro: an auto emptying bin. Every i3+ has an automatic-emptying home base. The large docking station includes a disposable vacuum bag. After the Roomba i3+ has finished vacuuming, the device will be connected to the home base. Once the dustbin is empty, it’s emptied into the docking stations. The first two or three times this happens, it is very loud.
