Walmart Late Policy In 2022

Walmart has a late policy that is based upon a points system. Walmart associates will receive 1/2 off if they arrive late 15 minutes to 2 hours before their scheduled shift. If an associate is late by over half of the scheduled shift, they receive 1 point, and 2 points if they do not show up. Walmart associates are entitled to 5 points each before facing termination

What Is The Walmart Point System?

Walmart points are part of its attendance policy, which aims not to incentivize associates for tardiness and unexpected absences.

In 2019, the maximum number of points an employee can receive was increased from 9 to 5. Associate who receives more than five points will be fired.

Associates who don’t show up on their designated shifts or as planned will lose one point.

As an additional bonus, workers who are able to leave work early could expect to get half of their points. Unexpected absences in the holiday period, however, may result in only three points.

What is the shelf life of points at Walmart?

Walmart Associate’s tenure at Walmart does not allow for continuous accrual of points.

Every associate’s points will be reset at the end of six months in an effort to make sure that everything is fair.

The points system doesn’t count authorized absences. Walmart employees don’t need to be concerned about being fired if they are absent for five or more hours in any six-month period.

Walmart allows how many Absences?

According to the Walmart Point System, associates can receive up to three points for unplanned absences in holiday shifts.

A person who is absent from trading during the standard trading period will get one point. Walmart considers an absence when a person is absent for less than half the time of their scheduled shift.

According to the type of absence an associate might be permitted up five times before they are fired.

You could have them absent for one holiday shift, and then two regular shifts. If they are unexpectedly absent from two holiday shifts, they will also face termination.

Walmart Rewards Good Attendance

Walmart’s updated attendance policy rewards associates who are punctual or excellent at attendance. This is to encourage consistency and dependability.

Both full-time Walmart employees as well as part-time Walmart staff are eligible for quarterly increased cash bonus payments.

Workers who have perfect attendance records will receive an additional 25% in their regular quarterly bonuses. Those with one or two points may also still be eligible for an increased bonus.

Walmart’s quarterly bonuses are based on several factors. The main factor is store performance. Hourly associates received almost $800,000,000 in bonus money in 2019, which was the year attendance bonuses were implemented.

Walmart: How do I get into the store?

Walmart employees, no matter how late or early you may be, will need to clock in to their shift via the GTA Time Clock App.

To use the GTA Time Clock app, all users need to go to the Time Clock Home screen and sign into OneWalmart. For verification of their identity, users will be required to provide a unique ID and password.

Once logged in they will simply need to click “Clock In” and start their shift. They can also choose the appropriate “Clock Out”, “Meal End”, or “Meal Start” options if they already have a clock in.
